I found Roz Stendahl in May 2011, too late to participate in 2011’s IFJM. I was intrigued by the possibilities. I could “become” anyone I wanted for a full month, the only catch — I needed to stay in character and date and time the journal in the moment. I went on to read everything Roz has in both her Roz Wound Up blog and her Official International Fake Journal Blog. All that amazing detail only spurred me to go further. I perused all the other participants blogs and filed all that info in the deep recesses of my brain.
Since then I’ve participated in 2012 and 2013. Both years I’ve uploaded my pages to a Flickr account. As I contemplated my 2014 attempt… yes, I know it’s MONTHS away… I decided to start using a blog format and this is it!
Now, since I want to keep all the journals together online, I’ve decided to start with a retrospective. Every few days I’ll post the pages from IFJM 2012 followed by IFJM 2013.
Bear with me… this too shall pass and soon I’ll be sharing my plans for 2014.
If you’re interested in more information, especially if you’re thinking of participating please check out Roz’ post – “What is IFJM?”
As Roz says: “Life’s so short, why live only one?
